Moonbase Alpha was a standard moon base on earths moon set up to study the moon and maintain the various stations on its surface. However, following a catastrophe in which a nuclear waste dump on the opposite side of the moon has detonated, the crew of the station has found themselves stranded, the moon having been rocketed into space. Dealing with their new situation the crew begins to rebuild their shattered lives as they travel the galaxy, finding new places and meeting new species...
