The hero known as Ash Williams has found himself in a place few can say they've been at: the past. Transported to the past through sorcery, Ash finds himself in the Middle Ages with nothing but his chainsaw, boomstick and car. Shortly upon entering this strange time he is greeted, not so politely, but the people who inhabit the time. They inform him that the Army of Darkness, made up of Deadite soldiers, have battled the race of men for quite a time. Knowing his only way home is to beat down the Army of Darkness, Ash declares himself as the hero of the story and sets off to get back to his own time...
