Marvel Legends (Toy Biz) (Toy Biz)It's wierd to see this version of Sabretooth so ugly because I always see him drawn as a handsome man, well, handsome like the Beast from the Beauty and the Beast Disney movie. It's cool to be this ugly I guess, I mean, Apocalypse is ugly as hell and he still has hot chicks swarming around him. Yeah, they're his slaves, but still! I think it would be nice to be in his harem...um, anyway... Tooth is almost 6.5 inches tall but looks shorter because of the stumpy proportions of the body. The arms look odd but they work. Paint is almost non-existent on this figure, but it's still shaded a little to bring-out the shredded muscles. The body has seams in the suit so it doesn't just look like painted skin, and the legs have effective folds in the clothes, they're even textured a bit. They would look great with a proper paintjob! The belt and boots are painted and look like oil-skins. For some reason the collar and belt are brown when I've usually seem them to be red, so uh, now you know. The metal on the hands looks good and painting is generally clean. For some reason the knees are painted because they were cast in a different color than the legs. Why!? Is it really less expensive to paint things than it is to cast them in the right color and NOT paint them? The hair looks stupid because it isn't dry-brushed properly, and it looks like there's hair sculpted on the chin, but it isn't painted. Also, the skin of the right arm is pock-marked while the left isn't, was that on purpose? The fingers are scary, they look like skeleton hands. All standard ML articulation is there, only the elbows are single-hinged because of their bulk. These are nice hip-joints, they look great! There was probably some other stuff that came with this figure, but I got mine loose, so nyah :P   by Henchmen4Hire |
