DC Universe (Mattel)A release exclusive to the 2014 SDCC, this Doomsday got a lot of flak for not being the unsuited Doomsday most fans are familiar with. Judged on its own merits, however, this is a perfectly good figure, and I daresay even the best Doomsday figure released to date. Standing at roughly nine and a half inches tall, this Doomsday towers over the New 52 BAF and stands even with the Doomsday Unleashed version released later that year. The cables around his body are all detailed and one of them swings loose like a whip. Even the figure's package is a work of art. The only negative I can give this figure is that there is no shackle at his back allowing him to fight the Justice League "with one hand behind his back!" as the original prison suit Doomsday did. That flaw aside though, this figure perfectly captures that green-garbed behemoth that Booster Gold so memorably named Doomsday.
