Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Super7) Reviews
Bebop
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Super7) - Ultimates!
Rated 4.70 stars by RMaster007
The second wave of TMNT Ultimates has been pretty great so far. Leonardo was great, Mutagen Man wasn't super interesting but still neat, and Shredder is my favorite. Now time to close things off with the punk warthog, Bebop. Comparing him to the original Playmates figure, a lot of Bebop's details have been updated. The head's improved greatly, with more pointy ears, a gray earring instead of a yellow one, and a bit less warts. The pink face is replicated here, but there's also a head that doesn't have that paint on it, in case you prefer that look. Moving downward, his back is a bit straighter, and the coat is updated, with a zipper and more visible pins thanks to the paint. The turtle skeleton shoulder pads are sculpted onto the coat instead of the arms. The necklace has a little human...[See More]

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Super7) - Ultimates!
Rated 5.00 stars by RMaster007
Super7's TMNT Ultimates line is great, and the first wave's Foot Soldier was no exception. Of course, you can have as many Foot Soldiers as you want, but you still need a Shredder to order them around, and the second wave was the one that provided him. The packaging is just like what Leo and Mutagen Man have, but the slip cover is purple instead of green to show you that Shredhead here is a bad guy. Two plastic trays containing the figure and accessories are here, and everything is easy to get out like usual. The Four Horsemen's take on the original Shredder figure is a lot better than his 80s counterpart. No more weird squatting stance or eyebrows painted on the head, though there's an alternate head included here that does have the old look. Standing about 6 7/8" tall, Shredder is...[See More]
Mutagen Man
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Super7) - Ultimates!
Rated 4.65 stars by RMaster007
During the original TMNT line, Playmates relied on weirdness for the line. The crazier they looked or the goofier the ideas, the better. Combine that with greatly detailed sculpts for a line made in the late 80s-early 90s and you got something. Well, that's just my thoughts, but getting one of the weirder characters, Mutagen Man, who was a bunch of organs in a big glass container, in Super7's ULTIMATES line is a dream come true for many. Standing at about 7" tall, Super7's take on the character is just like the original, but bigger and more articulated. I'm talking swivel/hinge joints at the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles, and they all move well with barely any restriction. The decaying skin and exposed muscle tone are present here, and it looks just as grotesque as...[See More]

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Super7) - Ultimates!
Rated 4.75 stars by RMaster007
When Super7 announced a new line of 7" scale TMNT figures, everyone was in on it. The first wave did very well, enough to issue re-releases with recolored weapon racks earlier this month. Though prior to that, the second wave, consisting of Leonardo, Shredder, Bebop, and Mutagen Man, shipped out from the company back in December, but it wasn't until late January this year that BBTS started shipping them out as well. I pre-ordered the whole second wave from them, and I'm starting my reviews of it with Leonardo. The packaging is just like with the previous wave, window box with bio lifted from the Playmates figure on the back, and a slip cover with manhole cover on the front and logo on the back. Everything is easy to open and get out, just some tape and twist ties to cut off. It's no...[See More]
Raphael
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Super7) - Ultimates!
Rated 5.00 stars by RMaster007
When Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles premiered back in 2018, it kickstarted a new line of figures from Playmates. However, declining sales of figures led to not only the end of the new figures, but the show as well. But with the new movie coming out this year, we may see more, but for now, they've been re-releasing their older figures in boxsets, and it's really something that appeals to the fans who grew up with the OG line. Super7 has been doing something different, though. They've been taking the older figures and giving them a modern day upgrade. With updated designs, more articulation, and a lot more, it's something fans both old and new can enjoy. I already reviewed the Foot Soldier, and now onto the sole Ninja Turtle of the first wave: Raphael. Like the previous figure I...[See More]
Foot Soldier
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Super7) - Ultimates!
Rated 5.00 stars by RMaster007
While NECA has been doing quite a lot of good with the TMNT license, Super7 has also been handling the line well this year. Their ReAction figures are cool, but their ultimates are what everyone really wants. The first wave started shipping out back in September, and I managed to pre-order one. In this case, it's the Foot Soldier, one of Shredder's robotic henchmen. I pre-ordered the figure from Big Bad Toy Store when it was still up for $45, but it doesn't look like they'll get any extra in stock, so you'll have to look for the first wave at other retailers. PACKAGING The packaging is a big window box with a brick texture and a bio on the back, all inside a purple slip cover with a manhole cover on it. If you've seen my review for the SDCC-exclusive Baxter, you'll know what I'm...[See More]
