Ultimate Hulk
Marvel Select (Diamond Select) - Basic Series
Rated 3.50 stars by Collector1
Bruce Banner, a brilliant scientist working for S.H.E.I.L.D., never intended to become the greatest threat to National Security in the history of the United States. But pushed to his mental limits be stress in his work to recreate the Super Soldier Formula that created the World War II hero, Captain America, Bruce injected himself with the experimental serum and was transformed into the massive, unstoppable juggernaut that is the HULK! Marvel Select brings us a rather...poor rendition of this Incredible monster. With only six points of articulation, Ultimate Hulk is very limited in posing options. He can move at his neck, shoulders, waist, and legs. The Ultimate Hulk is hunched over with bent knees and permanently bent elbows. Instead of the traditional purple pants, Ultimate Hulk...[See More]

The last survivor of a dead Universe, Superboy-Prime came into his powers at the middle of Crisis that spanned the multiverse on a world much like our own. However, he thrust into the midst of a battle beyond his comprehension with powers he barely comprehended and watched as his Earth was destroyed. Eventually, he, Kal-L the Superman of Earth-2, and Alexander Luthor Jr. survived the final battle against the Anti-Monitor at the dawn of time and slipped into a Paradise Demnsion with the Lois Lane of Earth-2, knowning they had no place in the new Universe that had been born. However, the bitterness that dwelled in his young heart grew in his isolation with Superman more concerned about his wife's failing health and being shown all the negative aspects of the new, darker world. Because...[See More]
Brakedown
Transformers - Cybertron (Hasbro) - Scout Class
Rated 4.00 stars by Collector1
I got this guy a while back in a double pack with the Galaxy Force Optimus Prime. A typical scout class transformer, Brakedown is small and simple to transform from a Velocitronian racer to robot. The design seems to be inspired by the canceled Transformers toyline, Transtech which was supposed to continue the Beast Era while ressurecting some of the original characters like the original Megatron and Optimus Prime in new more high tech bodies, specifically the Cheetor design. The paint scheme is pretty neat with a good amount of yellow, translucent plastic making up his sword, window, front and rear wheel and the little hood on the back of his head. The transformation is pretty simple. From vehicle mode, remove the front top piece with the piece of yellow plastic going down its...[See More]
Radioactive Spider Armor
Spider-Man (Toy Biz) - Techno Wars
Rated 3.50 stars by Collector1
I got this fellow as a gift from my dad after a long business trip many years ago. It is a fairly basic action figure but it does have some pretty cool acutraments. This Spider-Man comes with a number of armor pieces, two for his legs, two for his arms, and two pieces to make the chest armor, which supposedly protects him from radiation. The armor pieces are made of hard plastic and very difficult to bend. In addition to the armor, he comes with what I assume is a laser cannon of some sort that attaches to his armor and a grabbing arm that can be used to pick up the small container of radioactive waste or whatever it is. The toy itself was a unique under costume that reminds me of a motion capture suit without the little balls attached to it. His head lacks a web pattern, at least...[See More]
Captain America
Spider-Man (Toy Biz) - Electro-Spark
Rated 4.00 stars by Collector1
Aw man! This is a trip down memory lane. Back in the 90's, my town still had a K-Mart until it was driven out of business by Wal*Mart in '99 or '98. I remember going to K-Mart with my Grandmother, step brother, older brother, and half brother one day and as we came through the toy section so we could all get something, I saw Mr. Red White and Blue himself! Giddy over getting a Captain America, and pulled it off the rack and dropped it in the cart. Over a decade later, the original toy was lost to the ages, but I was able to pick this guy up at a yard sale, almost mint condition with the shield in tact! Captain America is huge when compared to most other toys with the muscle build of the freaking Hulk! You can put the shield in his left hand which is molded to hold the peg on the back...[See More]
Megatron (War Within)
Transformers - Titanium (Hasbro) - 6" Figures
Rated 2.50 stars by Collector1
Based on his apperance in Dreamwave Productions first G.I. Joe and Transformers crossover, Megatron roles out in the first wave of Titanium figures as a Cobra Tank. The design is beauty incarnate with a shoulder mounted gun and fifty-calibur on his other arm and face that looks like it is plucked from the original production art for Megatron from the 1980's! The transformations is rather simple. From vehicle mode, pull out the tank treds and move them down over the front of the tank, covering up the massive "M", then fold out the two little plastic rectangles on the bottom of his legs to get Megatron's feet. On the back, fold down the plastic covering until it touches the back and move the reveiled hands into place. The the tank turrent apparet and fold it down over the sides and turn...[See More]
Vega
Street Fighter (SOTA) - Round 2
Rated 4.50 stars by Collector1
After cranking out more reviews than I thought had in me, I found myself in the hold of a number of Realm Credits. Shrugging, I decided to splurge and bought Vega from the store. After a brief period of confusion and embarrassment involving a backspace key, a fist fight, oranges and bestiality (not entirely sure how that one got in there), I received it on July 02, or today if you will. After taking a moment to savor the unique smell of this toy, I tore the package open with my hunting knife, careful not to damage the flimsy little piece of paper that makes the back. Once out of the package I was floored by the feel of Vega's hair. Instead of the stiff, hard plastic I had expected, I found it made of what I believe vynl. The second thing that amazed me was the detail of the sculpt...[See More]
Ultimate Iron Man
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Annihilus Series
Rated 2.00 stars by Collector1
Born with a unique condition that causes and over production of neural tissue, effectivly making him one giant brain, however Antonio "Tony" Stark is cursed with cronic agonizing pain. After being diagnoised with an inoperable brain tumor that could kill him anytime with in six months and six years, Tony decides to make his life count for something and develops the Iron Man armor out of a prototype suit he had built in his youth. This toy trys to reflect that version of the Iron Man suit, but doesn't do it very well. The toy is far slimmer than what the comic depicts with a diffrent chest design and arm guns. The Antonio head underneath is badly painted and looks crosseyed. Add in a far to short left leg, this figure falls flat on its face. One of the few good things about the...[See More]

I doubt that I would even encourage a completist to get this piece of crap. About the only thing this figure has going is that you can use the BAF part to complete Annihilus, that and the removeable helmet that is getting a lot of mileage as a "Punisher" helmet.
Lizard
Spider-Man Origins (Hasbro) - Series 1
Rated 4.50 stars by Collector1
After an experiment meant to regenerate his lost arm, Doctor Curt Connors was transformed into the horrible Lizard! With strenght, speed, and agility rivialing Spider-Man's own, can the web-slinger stop The Lizard and save Curt Connors from himself? Twelve points of articulation, incredible sculpt and a tiny tinnie picture of the original face of Doctor Connors ala Steve Ditko on The Lizard name tag, what is not to love about the Lizard? Well, for one thing, the son of saurian can't stand on his own worth cow poo! I had the misfortune of purchasing this fellow without a stand. Appaerntly it was either not put in at the factory or one of the employies cracked the case, took the stand and resealed it. I'll take the factory explanation. Thankfully, his tail acts as a wonderful kickstand,...[See More]
Massacre vs Full Assault Superman
Superman - Man of Steel (Kenner) - 2-Packs
Rated 4.50 stars by Collector1
(Full Assault Superman) Right on to things today, Superman's costume is in tatters, the cape torn and burned in several places on the back, the most prominant on the lower edge which looks like someone bit through it. His right arm's sleave is gone up to his elbow and a patch is missing from his abdominal section, showing off his sixpack. This isn't just lack of paint, but actual sculpting around the edges to show how his costume was damaged, so I have to applaud that. Other than that, the rest of the Man of Steel's costume is intact. Superman's eyes are nicly painted with no visible flaws I can detect. The hair is long and curly, just like the style Superman was drawn with at this point in time after his death. The Last Son's neck can move left and right. The arms and legs have...[See More]
