Beast (X3) Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Annihilus Series Rated 4.00 stars by Collector1 One of Profesor Xavier's first students, Doctor Hank McCoy became a leading geneticist studying the mysterious M-Gene which caused the development of superhuman powers in some people. After a "cure" for the mutant condition is weaponized, Hank left his position and rejoined the X-Men to fight for the future of his species!
Beast is highly detailed and articulated, allowing for truly incredible poses in a rather sub-standered line of action figures.
The paint is nice and clean on his jacket without any bleeds or smears. The jacket is made of soft, flexiable rubber but does limit arm movement somewhat, so I had to deduct some points for that.
Beast's hands are in an open hand position which fits his wild and acrobatic fighting style and also refelcts his inner, peacful nature. Okay, so...[See More]
Thrust with Inferno Transformers - Armada (Hasbro) - Supercon Assortment Rated 5.00 stars by Collector1 A brillaint Decepticon tactician with lofty ambitons for power, the mighty Thrust (hehe) has come to Earth to retrive the minicons under the leadership of Megatron!
Aiding in his misson on Earth is his alternate form, an F-35 Lightening II, a plane not to have an offical introduction until the year 2011.
In this mode, Thrust has twin pressure point missles that get a fair level of range, but nothing impressive. A powerlinx port between his rear tail fins allows you to store his minicon partner, Inferno, in truck mode.
In Robot mode, Thrust lacks hands, having his rear engines in place of his hands. Also, the two pressure firing missles are attached to his shins, so he lack projectile weapons in this mode.
A third mode, along the lines of the Megatron and Galvatron toys of this line,...[See More]
Flash & Kid Flash Silver Age (DC Direct) - Basic Series Rated 3.50 stars by Collector1 (Kid Flash)
Wally West, Barry Allen's nephew, was granted The Flash's powers after the accident that created Barry's was repeated. Wally doned a smaller duplicate of Barry's costume and became his young sidekick, Kid Flash!
Having all of Barry's power, but less precise control over them, Kid Flash hopes to one day become as great as his mentor.
Kid Flash comes as essentially a smaller clone of Barry Allen but with a slightly more bunched up appearance at the belt. The coloring is identical to Barry's. However, the paint it rather faded on the rear of his belt and looks kind of chipped at the chest symbol. This of course will very from figure to figure.
Kid Flash has the same amount of articulation as Barry Allen, so what you can pull of with him, without modification, is pretty much...[See More]
Flash & Kid Flash Silver Age (DC Direct) - Basic Series Rated 5.00 stars by Collector1 (Barry Allen Flash)
Remembered as one of the greatest hero's in superhuman community before his tragic death during a great crisis, Barry Allen was the second man to use the mantel of the Scarlet Speedster. Inspired by the comic book adventures of his childhood hero, Jay Garrick, after gaining the powers of super speed, Barry modeled his costume and name after him and sought to create his own heroic legacy.
Barry Allen has the ability to move his very molecular structure at super speeds, allowing him to phase through objects such a bullets even when fired at point blank range, and run fast enough to break the time barrier and when aided by the cosmic treadmill, venture into other dimensions as well.
Barry Allen's costume is simple as it is elegant. A dark red for the most of his body,...[See More]
Batman (Gotham Knight) Batman Beyond (Hasbro) - Return of the Joker Rated 4.50 stars by Collector1 Terry McGuiness, the Batman of the near future will need every advantage he can get if he is to stand a chance against the worst pychopath that the original Batman, Bruce Wayne, ever battled, the Joker!
Thought long dead after a final, cataclsimic battle against the Batman Family, The Joker has mysteriously returned, intent on destroying the new Batman and making sure that he gets revenge on Bruce Wayne!
This Batman action figure, like most of the others uses the same body mold as the Future Armor or Future Knight thing Batman, but with an altered paint job. The suit is mostly show accurrate in terms of color scheme.
A massive, bright red bat rests upon Terry's chest with its wings spread wide like a swooping predator. Long ears mount the sides of the mask and haunting white eyes are...[See More]
Superboy and Supergirl (with Krypto and Streaky) Silver Age (DC Direct) - Classic Rated 5.00 stars by Collector1 (Supergirl and Streaky the Supercat)
Celebrating an age of innocence, DC Direct brings us the two greatest heroes of the Silver Age of Comics and their loyal companions, Superboy and Supergirl! This reveiw will cover Supergirl and Streaky the Supercat.
Supergirl stands just a quater of an inch shorter than Superboy and is sculpted by Tim Bruckner as well. The paint application is smooth and invoces a warm feeling when combined with Kara Zor-El's cute face.
The blue skirt is a bit stiffer than the cape, but does not restrict leg articulation as much as I thought it would, though be careful as I've noticed some stress marks on the back of the skirt which could presumably tear.
Supergirl has a good level of articulation at her ankles, knee's, hidden leg joints do to the skirt, waist,...[See More]
Superboy and Supergirl (with Krypto and Streaky) Silver Age (DC Direct) - Classic Rated 5.00 stars by Collector1 (Superboy and Krypto)
Celibrating an age of innocence, DC Direct calls forth the Silver Age versions of some of your favorite characters from that era. This box set contains four figures, the silver age Superboy and Supergirl and mini-figures of Krypto the Superdog and Streaky the Supercat! This review will cover the Superboy and Krypto figures.
Superboy, in his original incarnation as a young Superman growing up in Smallville, USA, stands about six inches tall with a marvelous sculpt done by Tim Bruckner that captures the all American Boy look of the young superhero.
The paint job is nice and clean. Superboy has sixteen points of articulation at his ankles, knees, top of his legs, waist, wrists, elbows, biceps, shoulders, and neck. The biceps feel weird when moves and there is...[See More]
Spider-Man (Spin & Kick) Spider-Man 2 - Movie (Toy Biz) - Series 3 Rated 4.00 stars by Collector1 One of the most memoriable scenes in the blockbuster movie Spider-Man 2 was the train fight sequance between Spider-Man and Doctor Octopus with its incredible use of CGI blending almost seemlessly with live action footage.
This toy brings that scene to kind-of-sort-of life with a highly detailed Spider-Man action figure, Doctor Octopus Tenticals and train side base.
The tenticales are highly detailed and flexiable with an interior wire frame. Each tenticale's "Death Flower" is individually articulated and clip on to four slots shaped like the begining of Octavious' mechanical arms.
The train base is nicely detailed with the glass shattering outward in a web cracked style and is very stable.
The Spider-Man toy itself is extremely possiable twenty-five POA! The back of his right leg...[See More]

Project 13 learned of his origin and determined that he must take up the mantel of his predecessor. Dawning a homemade costume and 90's fad haircut, Project 13 set out to make his own heroic legacy with a youthful flare as the Metropolis Kid, later to be called by a resurrected Superman, Superboy!
