Hi, Realmers ! To bridge the time gaps, when parts needed to dry, to cure, or the idea how to create them needed to grow, while working on my last figure Thranduil, I began to work on a battle of the five armies-orc... and again...parts needed to dry... so one orc lead to another ...and somehow I ended up working on eight different mordor-disciples simultaneously...besides Thranduil. Some are more complex/elaborated, some are just "mild" customs. This uruk hai-chief was not planed at all and it's quite funny, that I've finished this figure before all the others, cause it is the last I've started with. The base-figure is a lord of the rings "new born Lurtz", from ToyBiz. I had to cut/resculp parts of the hair, to make the helmet, which I've recasted from a battle cry-helmet, fit smoothly. The chest-armor is made of leather, metal and sculpy. The back armor is a part of a Battle troll-forearm-armor. Real leather is underneath it. The right shoulder-armor is from a Lord Marshal-Riddick-figure.The left one, the forearm- and hand-armor is sculpted of scratch; Shin-armor is casted from resin. The shoes are made of an old working-glove; sculpy and fake leather. The loin-armor is recasted from a Gothmog-figure. Some old fabrik underneath it. The belt is from a Grishnak-, the pouch (scabbard) from a McFarlane vikings-; the sword from a prince nuada-figure. Some fake-fur around the shoulders and -leather for the straps. I used Rewell and Citadell-colours. That should be it. I hope you like the transformation from an almost naked, to this heavily armored Uruk Hai. Regards ! Staley ![]() |
