Ever had the base figure land in your lap and be like, I KNOW who this is gonna be? Well that's what happened here, snagged a Fei Long with no hands and immediately thought Maxi, and so it was done. I have no idea why he's referred to as "the dandy of the south seas" but that's apparently what he's known as. I love Soulcalibur and for me it's THE gold standard in fighting games, one of my favourite characters is Maxi for his ease of combo. So here's the short but sweet recipe.

Recipe:
Base = Fei Long SOTA street fighter, pretty much everything is him, sculpted the belt and buckle, sculpted the ties round his ankles and sculpted the armband too. Cut off some of the original hair and sculpted his iconic super fringe on both heads as well as the wraps on all the hands.

Forearm armour = LOTR Aragorn, sanded out and trimmed for a snug fit, slight sculpt work to cover the gaps.

Neckerchief = ML Wiccian, took off the shoulder armour and did some trimming to fit.

Belt ropes = Made from string twisted together and glued, the balls are from the wifes jewelry cast offs.

Nunchucks = SOTA Fei Long

Painted and sealed with Games workshop products.

So there it is, short but works well I reckon. He comes with two heads and four hands, I lost his other nunchuck hand :-( . I really enjoyed using a sota figure they're pretty easy to work with once you get them hot enough. I do hope to do one or maybe two more from Soulcalibur but for now it's back to MOTU.
