First I hacked off all the texture on Sasquatch and added some height in his legs. Them I sculpted the groot face over Sasquatches after I hacked off his brows and removed his hair. I scupted his toes and added sculpt where his uniform ends. The best is made from Flex panel and Joe belt pouches.

I don't know any of these new guardians. Last ones I saw was the guy in the environment suit that had Captain america's shield. Looks really good though. I'm jealous of your sculpting ability.
