Design:

This is a fusion of the Tyco GI Joe Electric Trucking set x Eco-Warriors. The Tyco set featured a Higgins Boat-styled landing craft. There is undoubtedly something closer in style in 1:18 scale that I overlooked or couldn’t find, so I landed on this Animal Planet boat, which has an open standing area towards the bow. That’s about it for similarities.

The boat came with a cabin, which I removed to get the open top look closer to the Tyco landing craft. Dropping in a pilot seat balances out the missing top, while keeping plenty of standing room for the Eco-Warriors.

Colors & Paint:

Olive drab for the Joes’ vehicles, like the Tyco set. I also used the same minty green for the seating that I did for the fusion jeep.

Sculpting & Modifying:

The “house” was removed from the boat, as was some piping towards the back. The seat and handle were glued towards the back of the boat.
