"Eat floor - high fiber." - Batman I took a Batman Begins figure and got to work! He was originally going to be Keaton Batman from the '89 Film but then Neca released theirs and I bought it and this guy just sort of sat on my work bench for a while. Then one day I was like "Well, no one's made a Batman Returns figure yet..." I re-sculpted the armor, made the head from scratch and debated on wether or not to give him neck articulation. I wanted a more screen accurate looking figure so I decided to blend the neck and cowl. I found a really good light weight fabric with a leather finish and wool like interior at hobby lobby and bought a few yards for future capes and for this one of course. Made the belt from a DCUC Batman and moved the pellets around a bit, the buckle is an original sculpt. There's a lot of little film accurate details on this fella including the gloves and boots and body armor. I took an old DCUC cape from a Batman and a Robin and cut the end pieces for the flanges on the cowl so that the cape wouldn't lose any articulation and poseability. I painted him with some Testor's Model Master's Acrylic and Vallejo acrylics and sealed him up with Testor's Dullcoate Matte Finish, added some gloss on the gloves and emblem and Bam! Batman Returns! Feel free to comment, and I take commissions as well - I'll produce whatever figure you'd like. I have a DCUC female body and I'm tempted to try making a Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman. Stay Tuned! ![]() |
