In Mortal Kombat, you are a highly trained fighter who has entered the Shaolin Tournament for Martial Arts. For centuries, this mysterious tournament has been held to recognize the most noble and highly trained fighters in the world. Long, ago, this honored competition was corrupted by Shang Tsung. He not only uses his special powers to win matches and to murder his opponents, he takes possession of their souls. Until now, nobody has been able to defeat Shang Tsung or his grotesque half-human, half-dragon sidekick named Goro.
