In Moon Knight's origin story, Marc Spector, a former mercenary, is left for dead in the Egyptian desert. He is saved by followers of Khonshu and given a second chance at life. Spector becomes the avatar of Khonshu, gaining enhanced strength and abilities under the moon's influence. He adopts the persona of Moon Knight and fights crime and supernatural threats.

Khonshu often appears to Moon Knight as a guiding voice, offering guidance and advice. However, the nature of their relationship is complex, and Moon Knight's connection to Khonshu has been portrayed as both empowering and tumultuous.
