From 2002 to 2005, Matt Morgan was involved with WWE and its developmental territory, OVW. After participating in the Tough Enough II program, he signed with WWE and debuted in OVW. In 2003, Morgan joined Team Lesnar on the SmackDown brand but only had one tag team match before being used in run-ins. After Brock Lesnar left WWE, Morgan returned to OVW, winning and losing the OVW Heavyweight Championship. He made a stuttering big-man gimmick when he returned to WWE in 2005, aligning himself with Carlito before being released later that year. His last match was interrupted by The Mexicools.
Matt Morgan made his debut in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) on August 7, 2007, and quickly aligned himself with Jim Cornette, serving as his "backup." He became the Special Enforcer in a match between Samoa Joe and Christian Cage at Bound for Glory, preventing interference from Christian's Coalition. Morgan later joined Team Cage, establishing himself as a face and using his old OVW nickname, "The Blueprint." He teamed up with various partners, including Abyss, and feuded with Team 3D and The Rock 'n Rave Infection. Morgan had a storyline where he wanted to join the Main Event Mafia but was barred from doing so. He eventually turned face and formed alliances with Hernandez and D'Angelo Dinero, feuding with Rhino and Team 3D. Morgan and his team emerged victorious in an elimination match at Final Resolution.
Matt Morgan had a series of storyline developments and feuds during his time in TNA (Total Nonstop Action) Wrestling. He initially won the TNA World Tag Team Championship with Hernandez but later turned heel and attacked Hernandez, declaring himself the sole champion. He defended the title with various substitute partners and eventually lost it to Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. Morgan then had feuds with Hernandez, Scott Steiner, and Samoa Joe, participating in various matches and winning some but also suffering losses. He teamed up with Crimson and won the TNA World Tag Team Championship again but eventually turned on each other. Morgan later made a surprise return, engaging in feuds with Robbie E, James Storm, and Jeff Hardy. He aligned himself with Joey Ryan and challenged for the TNA World Tag Team Championship but was unsuccessful. Morgan continued to have conflicts with Hulk Hogan and Aces & Eights before eventually parting ways with TNA.
