John Reid was the lone survivor of his family after a gunning. He was found by a native american named Tonto who named him "Lone Ranger" as he was the only one left. Reid donned a mask and became the Lone Ranger, first avenging his family and then fighting injustice throughout the west.
He is an ancestor of the Green Hornet.
