Firefly was first hired by Cobra to kill Snake-Eyes, who CObra Commander blamed for the death of his brother. Firefly infiltrated the Arashikage Clan as the Faceless Master, but after seeing Snake-Eyes' abilities, Firefly recognized that he wasn't rival for the ninja and recommended Zartan to Cobra Commander. This makes Firefly an indirect participant in the resulting death of the Hard Master.
Currently, Firefly works as a saboteur and explosives expert for Cobra, being able to sneak into the best guarded places to leave bombs.
