Sean Collins was born Sean Broca, son of Crimson Guardsman Fred Broca. After Fred's death, he was replaced by Wade "Fred II" Collins, another Crimson Guard. After Stalker and Snake-Eyes convinced Wade to reform, his new family accepted him with open arms, with Sean and his sister taking the Collins surname.

Sean became Snake-Eyes apprentice and joined the G.I. Joe team under the codename Kamakura.
