Yusuke Urameshi is the toughest kid in Sarayashiki Junior High School and has a typical tough guy approach to everything, but all that changes for him when he dies. But that isn't the end for our hero after he dies he meets a beautiful girl named Botan better known as the grim reaper who has him hired after death to become a Spirit Detective. It's Yusukes job to deal with all the supernatural problems of the realm and other. He later is accompanied by an old rival Kawabara, and two demons that were formerly evil Hiei and Kurama. The new Spirit Detective go many adventures from fighting Suzaku with his four Saint Beast to fighting in other world tournaments, taking down revived demons, and even saving a princess . Our hero strength and friendships begin to grow as they vanquish the evil of the world one day at a time.
