The barber's chair swiveled 'round and there sat the cunning kingfish of pirates himself, James Hook. Hook had plotted, primped, and prepared three unbearably long days for this morning. He stood as Smee belted his silver scabbard about his hips. Then Smee brought out a velvet box and kneeling before Hook he opened it. Inside there was an armory of hooks: a solid gold hook, one of silver, another of platinum set with jewels. "A king's ransom in treasure, but not worth a penny in battle," sniffed Hook. He lifted the top layer and there couched on a bed of blood-red velvet was his secret switchblade hook. At just the right moment, a blade hidden in the hook would swing out and that would be the end of Peter Pan just as he had imagined a thousand times. Yes, today was Peter Pan's last day on earth, and it would end with the biggest battle of the greatest war ever in Neverland; of this Captain Hook was sure.
